Interests & Experiences
I have ten years of experience working privately and in the NHS, delivering 1:1 and group therapy treating various issues. More recently, I have enjoyed working as a Clinical Lead Psychologist offering complex therapy, supervision, management and training staff members to effectively treat different presenting problems. My area of expertise is in one-to-one person-centred therapy using an integrative approach including CBT, counselling, and mindfulness. I have also trained in EMDR to offer individuals a choice of evidence-based treatments whilst they collaboratively work through difficulties together.
On a larger scale, I frequently provide lectures and workshops to universities and community events on a variety of topics such as perfectionism, club drug addiction, depression and anxiety. I currently sit on the BPS Committee, specialising in Addictions, offering my experience to help improve treatment and training.
I also enjoy providing supervision to qualified and trainee therapists, helping them to provide effective treatment to clients.
