Interests & Experiences

I am a chartered counselling psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS). I have extensive experience working collaboratively with diverse client populations in a variety of clinical contexts including the NHS and the charity sector. I currently work part time in an NHS service that supports people with complex and enduring needs, alongside my private practice.

Life can be messy, and most of us will experience times in our lives when things can feel too much. Sometimes we can manage this alone, but at other times our usual coping mechanisms may not seem to work and we might need support navigating these challenges. I work in a gentle, trauma-informed way, to meet you where you are with empathy and acceptance. I see my role as holding a containing, compassionate space where we can explore your emotional experiences and relational patterns.

The way I work is integrative, which means I often draw from a range of therapeutic approaches when required, as appropriate for each individual client. I offer therapy for a wide range of emotional difficulties, including but not limited to low mood, anxiety disorders, bereavement, fertility issues and life transitions. I have a keen interest in attachment and trauma. I believe that one of the most important and transformative aspects of my work is the therapeutic relationship with the person sitting opposite me – or indeed on my screen at the present! Therefore, my first aim is to provide a warm and non-judgemental space for you to use in a way that best helps meet your needs.
